BOATING EDUCATION

Purpose
To educate the public in safe boating practices, ethics and legal requirements in order to prevent fatalities and damage relating to recreational boating accidents and to provide the necessary training for sheriffs' marine deputies to enforce Idaho boating laws.
Many organizations and government agencies offer education courses and training in proper boat operation. These include the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation (IDPR), the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, the U.S. Power Squadron, and Bonner County Sheriff's Office.
Visit http://www.boat-ed.com/id/index.htm for information on the Boat Idaho Course.
